How to see my current installed version of ED?

Where can I see the current version of my installed ED? The current version should be 1.0.5 right? But where do I see it in the launcher/game? In the launcher it says "V 2015.10.16.84963 0.4.4084.0 (0.4.4029.0 server)", and in-game I can't seem to see it anywhere.

The launcher shows the version. "V 2015.10.16.84963"

oh? I thought it was called 1.0.4, 1.0.5 etc? At least that is the format I remember how the earlier launchers news section referred to it..? The version number you mention, and which is displayed in the lower left corner of the launcher sounds like another version format? Anyway, I just like to know if I have the proper newest version. Because I have some long delay when starting the game before I can press "start". It says "cant connect to frontier servers" for several minutes. And "start" button is grey. Does this mean the latest version is now 1.0.6?

If ED is out of date, the launcher will display a "Upgrade" button instead of "Play". So you're good, it's just the servers that are a bit crowded since this WE.

You can´t play older versions of the game, so if you can play you have the newest version. Sometimes there is beta servers open to be tested for those who have beta access, but if you don´t have beta access you can´t see them in launcher.

The current short form version number of the game is 1.4.01. The launcher is a separate entity with its own version number.

No, you have 1.4 like us all unless you playing 1.5 beta

The current live version of the game is 1.4.
Version 1.5 (ships) is still in Beta testing.
There is no version 1.6

oh okay, sorry if I'm confused. So 1.4 is actual game now, and 1.5 is beta, I understand now. How do I access 1.5 beta? Or is it not available yet?

If you have a lifetime pass or bought E: D before release (Alpha, Beta or Mercenary) you should have beta access: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=164

I have standard beta via kickstarter. I can't seem to find a way to access 1.5 beta. The launcher does say "The horizons beta has been delayed for a few days.". Is this the 1.5 beta that has been delayed? I'm really sorry for all these questions, but I have trouble figuring out what my installation is in correlation to "version 1.5 (ships)" and "horizon beta".

1.5 beta ran for about 10 days, then was taken off temporarily to prepare for todays Horizons release.

You missed the 1.5 beta (1.5 is the last content release for people without Horizons or the LTE); they shutdown the beta servers in preparation for the 2.0 beta which *should* be released later today. When it becomes available it will be visible next to the 'PLAY' button on the launcher when the game isn't running.
