How to set off an economic boom

Is it just a matter of doing missions and exporting/importing into the system u want to create the economic boom in. Anyone wish to help contribute to the discussion.

It would seem so. Ive at least seen the "Boom" under faction names in the list there several times after working for them for some time.

im wondering being in fringe world space, if doing a long range rare haul of specific items would assist in speeding things up

Doing certain contracts give that blue up arrow for "economic boom", I believe that triggers it if players collectively did enough of those. I've traded a couple of hundred thousand tons of goods mostly between four or five of the same stations the past 2 weeks, and never seen a boom. Either trading doesn't help or it has negligible effect.

i rmember an old dev blog that stated that each system would have a wealth and an economic rating between 1 and 1000. Perhaps with enough trading, the rating could creep up over time affecting the background simulator. Im thinking gold silver and palladium from where i am is the best way forward theres a place to profit right next door, do enough of that focused high end expensive trading might be worth a shot

from what i have discovered (done it to 2 systems) its the deliver and supply missions that give the upward trend towards boom...

I've been doing missions (deliver/supply) for one faction only in one particular system. It leads to a boom after about 2-4 hours of play. The plus is that the more you are aligned with that faction (I'm Allied now) the better paid the missions are. I'm earning easily 100k cr per hour and it's going up all the time. 124k just to pick up some animal meat? Thank you, that'll do nicely.

But you have to stick to one faction and be ready to do the give stuff away missions to gain rep. They are like stepping stones.

The other way on top of doing all of this is to buy a ship from them and outfit it.
I've done that with two stations on my trade route, and apart from becoming 'Friendly' it does have a big impact on the economic status too.

A friend and I have participated in making a system experience a critical boom. However it looks as though during this boom, the luxury traders that appear don't really accept anything. I have seen thread stating that during a boom these traders purchase only performance enhancers? This is a bit weird as these items have nothing to do with what my friend and I were trading nor do they relate to the station in question that experienced the boom? Is this correct functionality?

Also just to add the other station we were trading with expanded into a 2nd system, with 4% influence in that system. The problem is that the station in question is 400KLS away from the jump point which makes it kind of tedious to mission run or trade with it.. oh well not going to bother exploring this expansion further...

I'm trying to trigger an economic boom in a small system, but I think I really started in a prehistoric phase of its economy, because they only asked giveaways (food & non-lethal weapons) for the first 8-10 hours of play. Now a lot of pirate and assassination missions, along with the giveaways (it's costing me a fortune). I wonder how long does it take to get to the boom. I'm allied with the main faction of course, and it has 99% influence. The other 3 factions are at 0.
I still don't see any paid goods missions, delivery missions, rank up opportunities, nothing at all.

if its a extraction economy export platinum, gold and silver. And import food, personal weapons and mineral extractors. Also add small amounts of water purifiers, HE suits, bioreducing lichen and auto fabricators ( all these aid in the balance of payments and quick wealth gains - and bringing in essential supplies and things that will boost production in system). Boom will last 2-20 days based on the unused wealth of the faction.

I have read that certain aspects are supposed to be done by several players and this still takes a while. I'll try to find it but even said not to be accomplished by single player.
