Horizons How to set the ingame gamma as intended by Frontier

Lately I started to fiddle with the ingame gamma settings until I asked myself if there exists a recommended procedure to adjust the gamma as intended by Frontier? Also I ask if the Nvidia panel gamma overrides the ingame gamma or adds up to it? Or ingame gamma overrides Nvidia gamma setting?

Any recommendations, commanders?

i would guess that there is no recommended procedure as everyones screen are different, let alone personal preference. I have mine quite dark as i like the dark sides of my moons to be quite dark.

Thanks Marcus for your reply. So I have to eyeball the gamma, as I have done since the start of official release. :p

Isn't that the point of having an in-game gamma setting? They have to allow for different people's perceptions ('scuse the pun), ambient lighting, and monitor settings.

(P.S. Excuse the Oxford Comma if you don't like them. I thank you.)

As an Art teacher I can tell you that what MalcYorks is saying is all true. Colour and light is all relative to the person and conditions.... (We get taught that grass is green but have no way of telling whether what you see and call green is what I see.... )
So get in there and mess with it! YEAH BABY!
