How to stop a Power expanding ?

If I am working on a minor faction and I want to stop a Power expanding into my Minor factions home system.
How can I do that ? while remaining none aligned.

You might be able to choose the local faction in one of the 'Strike Zones' and blow up the power's ships. You may not have the option if you are not alligned.

In the recent posts, devs have stated that they were thinking about allowing for independent pilots to become freedom fighters, which would allow you to do activities to undermine a particular system and win its freedom.

mind you, doing so would make you "fair game" to be hit and destroyed by any player or NPC aligned with the power that you are undermining. Best advice is to tread lightly ;)

I hope so. LI Yong RUI has ruined one minor faction i was helping. I want to blow his ships up so bad.

Yes, not much you can do, but I still have some suggestions you may or may not like.

1. If you are in the OPEN you can attack those powerplayer's ships if you see them in your system
2. You can try to rally support from other powers to oppose the expansion into your system
3. You can join another power temporarily to oppose the expansion and leave when done

You can't without the invisible hand of FDEV personnel manually intervening.

They need to add a option to pledge to a minor faction so i can destroy some power play factions ships without the wanted status.

Not convinced about your reasoning behind it, but I agree they should allow players to pledge to whoever they want.

If that results in a minor power getting big enough to become a top-20 (or top-10 if they never expand the list), then I'm sure there's someone at FD with enough imagination to come up with a leader for that faction.

Quoted and rep for truth. As a casual PP player I can see the universe is not for the players to shape :( ...unless it's to the 'expected' direction FD has predestined.

Have to wait until FD implement something, I would presume it's in the works since supporting minor factions is something FD wants for players, and then growth to a power.

The first mistake is that the game REQUIRES expansion from factions instead of simply holding territories and expand when tactically or economically feasible.

By forcing it every power will stop after a few weeks and be FORCED to fortify systems.

Seems like the best option as long as the power you join to oppose the original expanding power doesn't then take over the system/systems :)
