How to stop Steam VR message on Startup

I use to play Elite on an Oculus but have stopped over 2 years ago. Every time I start Elite from the launcher (not Steam) I get this:
How do I get rid of it.

SteamVR + Oculus Rift
SteamVR + Oculus Rift Instructions
SteamVR supports the Oculus Rift. When using the Rift with SteamVR, use the Back button on an Xbox controller to bring up and dismiss the SteamVR Dashboard.

To enable this, follow the instructions below.

Start the Oculus App on your computer and select the gear icon in the upper right.
Select Settings.
Select General on the left.
Find the Unknown Sources toggle and click it so a check appears instead of an X.

You will need to confirm this selection before it is enabled.

Once enabled, you will be able to run SteamVR with the Oculus Rift.

You need the app that links steam vr to your oculus. Least that's how it was a few mths ago.
I just want to stop it from popping up. I don't use the headset anymore. I even tried deleting Steam VR. I deleted Oculus software off my computer years ago and sold the headset

Thanks for the responses. I went into Steam and uninstalled Steam VR and WMR for Steam. If I ever get back into VR I will have to address it again. My 1080 GPU could barely handle the old Elite. I don't think I want to invest $1500 (new GPU + Headset) just to play Elite in VR.
