How to store commodities in someone elses´ FC

Apologies if this has been discussed and I missed it or if too obvious. For those players without a FC wanting to store some of their commodities and based on what we know so far about FC trading mechanics, there may actually be a way for them to do it. This would necessitate an existing FC owner willing to co-operate (possibly for a fee?).

1 - FC owner issues a purchase order for the commodity and tons a given commander would like to store, for an agreeable but arbitrary price
2 - The commander sells the commodity as per purchase order and his/her commodities then get stored in the FC
3 - When the commander needs to withdraw his/her commodities the FC owner issues a sell order for the tons stored and at the same arbitrary price as step 1
4 - The commander buys the commodities at the arbitrary price and sets off with his cargo
Note: The FC owner could eventually impose a fee if the commander agrees etc.
Note 2: This would also require the FC owner and commander to manage an offline accounting of what cargo belongs to whom and at what price etc.

Unless I have misunderstood, which is quite possible, the proposed system by FDEV already allows de facto storing commodities for other commanders, subject to an honorable FC owner.

The idea is simple enough. Now that being the case, might aswell code the feature in, including maybe a service fee, and be done with it?

Say for example you just mined up 300 tons of something and the prices have turned bad, and you feel like going bounty hunting instead of dealing with the situation.

Just speaking from personal experience.
I check prices before I mine, not after. I do mine but only if I like the price and demand.

Commodity storage might work for: unlock commodities - including rares and mission only commodities - and why not, LTDs waiting for that moment when they sell for 1.6 millions per ton
But yea, we did ok for quite some time without cargo storage and i'm pretty sure i wont use someone else's carrier to store stuff...

Not rares and other 'special' types. They didn't elaborate on what's special but I'm going to bet Meta-Alloy, Hearts, and such are also banned from storage.

Oh... missed that
Then always we can rely on the ultimate argument "because i want to"

I clearly understand the reasons I have and why I want to, I've explained them and been told they are irrelevant or wrong. I'm thrilled it's been added and I can now do some things I've wanted to do. Of course at the jump rate they have it'll be Halloween before I make it there.

The problem is, the client don't know for sure, where are going to be you, or even if you are going to still playing, and owning an FC, when he/she needs to retrieve the items storaged.
