How to switch the "target arrow" ?

Hello,

I have a stupid question. In a lot of ED youtube videos, I can see that players have something like "target arrow" on their HUD. I mean the moving arrow which points to the target direction if the target is outside the player field of view.
There is no such thing on my HUD, so I suppose it is necessary to switch it on somewhere in Options panel. But I am not able to find this option in any menu. What am I doing wrong ?

Can you link to such a video? I don't think there's a target arrow in ED, which is a pretty common feature in space combat games and I really like ED for it. That arrow actually makes for a really bad fighting experience, where everyone gets stuck in weird loops. I've never seen it myself in any ED video.

it's not a target arrow, it's a mouse indicator showing the movement of the mouse (for KB/Mouse users), it probably always seems to be pointing at the target as that is the direction the CMDR is turning.

That is the mouse cursor indicator indeed, if you fly using the mouse.

There is no target indicator.

I think that's a mouse courser, if you fly with a mouse ! (Could be wrong !)

Oh, OP is talking about the mouse widget?

OP, the mouse widget doesn't show you where your target is. It's an arrow to help you know where your nose vector is pointing at if you are flying with the mouse since the mouse doesn't have a stable base from where you can judge your center and relative positions. It seems to follow the target in videos because the player is trying to turn his ship to face the target. They are the ones moving the arrow, they are not following it.

Look for example on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGSbrNM3HYc

at time 3:00 - what I am talking about is a white triangular arrow pointing to target.

Most probably it will be the already mentioned mouse indicator.

I never played ED with mouse, so I had no idea that such thing exists :)
