Horizons How to target rocks in SRV?

I've watched several videos, but I still can't figure out how to target a rock. Spent several hours driving around, shooting at rocks, but couldn't find the control setting to be able to target something. What is it called?

1) Not all rocks can be targeted and shot to give off fragments.
2) Check your keybindings. Scroll down almost to the bottom of the keybinds and you find different categories under "Driving". The targeting keybind for me was defaulted to the same as for my starship though.

To find rocks you can shoot to get materials you have to use the wave scanner on your SRV and drive towards signals that show up.

Ok, so there's no key to press to target a rock? It just happens?

No, there is a keybind for it, as I mentioned under 2).

But you can't target just any rock.

Rocks that you can target will have a grey diamondshaped outline around them. Then you aim at them, click on your Target keybind (whichever key you set it to) and then you target it.

Aha! Thank you. I've never seen a rock with a grey box around it. Maybe I spent two hours last night on the wrong planet. LOL, thanks!

Watch the video I linked.

It explains how you can fly around the planet and find the blue anomaly areas. Land there and go out in your SRV and use the Wave Scanner (as explained in the video) and you should find rocks to shoot easily.

Ok, will do. I admit, I hadn't had a chance to watch your vid yet. The other two vids I watched had nothing about flying around the planet first! LOL, thanks again!
