I'm playing solo to get a feel for things.

I buy something, jump somewhere only to need to buy fuel and find they aren't interested in what i have to sell?
How do i know what to buy and where to take it to?
How do i view remote market data.

What does the D-Scan do?

D-Scan stands for Discovery Scan, it will scan in an area around you and find planets, suns, moons and asteroid belts. You can sell this data to Universal Cartographer at any station.

You go some place and take a look, or you make use of Slopeys BPC. There is no "remote" market which will give you a clear cut answer to what to buy or what to sell, you have to manually go to a station and look at what they have for sale. Then remember or write down prices, go to a different station and look at what they are buying etc. Basically, use Slopeys tool, its the only way to get a clear cut answer to what is profitable.

But if you only have 100 credits, start by doing missions or hunting for USS. Go fly around in your starting system, maybe you get interdicted by a pirate you can kill for money.

Pick 4-5 stations near each other pref one ag, one ref, one ex, one ind and a tech or two and fly to them all and take pics with ur cell phone of trade screens, usually 3 pics per station, and then refer back to ur pics, makes trading very easy but do lots of missions thats where big bucks r. Before accepting a mission run through ur cell pics so u know where to fill it.
