How to turn off Flight Assist?

Apologies for the silly question. Have looked everywhere for this option in the Alpha build I got access to when I bough premium beta - i.e. single player combat scenarios. Is it possible or do I need to wait until May 30th. Can't seem to find the option in... well.... options!

Well, that's embarrassing. Now that you mention it's "Z", I take a look at my options and search for "Z" and what do you know - there's the Flight Assist option. Duh!!

I toggled it off briefly - and holy cow is it difficult to fly without it on. As in "whoa", what the heck is going on!! I think I'll leave it on!

I know I'm bringing back an old thread but I was wondering about this. How can I toggle FA? It seems I always have to hold down z to have it off but it turns back on when I stop pressing it and so its hard to fly when I'm holding it down. Thanks

There should be an option with it to set FA as a toggle or having to hold it. You want toggle. I'm not at my computer but I think it's right with the FA binding part..

Is this in the functions list? There it says its in 'hold input mode' and I can't change it. If not there then where can I change the key bindings?

When in Flight assist off, when adjusting throttle i get very little movement. I use the wheel mouse for throttle and its fine whilst FA on but when FA is off i can spin the wheel and very little happens to the power.

Is this hows its meant to be?

Yes please. I want to know this too. Everyone keeps saying "Z" but that is not toggle. It drops the assists only when pushed in and as soon as i release "Z" my thrusters come back on.

Need toggle for this one. And i cant change it in the functions list either. So, how do you guys toggle the assists?

It is on a toggle in the settings. I do not have to keep a key pressed for FA to remain off. I suggest having another look at the control settings. I would post a screenshot but I'm not at my PC

Cheers Voz. I actually thought i saw everything in the control options as its usually one of the first places i check. Must have missed it.
