Newcomer / Intro How to use module storage in Odyssey?

Hi,

actually I'm no newcomer but have nearly 4k hours under my belt, 3K of them in VR. Been to Beagle solo, killed Thargoids, protected Salome, you name it.

Thing is: this new UI makes me an analphabet again and so I somehow managed to put the grade 5 engineered sensors of my DBX into module storage, but can't get them back.

I really can't, as I simply & plainly just don't understand how it works now, and I tried for a whole hour. WHAT A FINE MESS of an UI is this?

Bonus question: I seem to have 2 E grade sensor modules in my storage and want to sell them. How do I do that?

Hard to say without seeing you doing it, but to get stuff out of module storage now you have to actually go to the storage section, find the module, and select it there. You can't start at the loadout.

Ok, how intuitive. There's a tiny money icon with no text and obviously that should indicate "sell module" while a big bar saying "Equip Module" just underneath. Who would have guessed that. I didn't find that for over an hour. The degradation in usability is just ridiculous. Carrier UI everywhere, whoever thought this was a good idea.

They didn't do any UAT or UX reviews. I know, be cause we pay experts for doing them on our behalf for the products we develop.

The module system is pretty bugged and I've lost an A rated modified module already. Might want to jump into Horizons to outfit your ship, it actually works.

If you love tiny icons with no description or easily understandable graphics, wait till you see the new and improved galaxy map.

Ergonomy is the name of the game, here. And Frontier decided not to play this game.

Oh I know the fine map. But this outfitting thing is just ridiculous. If people working for more than 5 years with an app suddenly get confused in the meaning of can't use it anymore, there's something severely wrong. Never change something that is not broken. If this were not a game, but commercial software people rely on, FD would be out of business.

What did they do.

Yeah, I compared it somewhere to switching from Android to Windows Phone.
I'm SURE there is some inner logic to it somewhere, but nobody knows where.
