Are you driving around in circles, hoping to find a rock you can blow apart for materials? Confused over the sounds and the Wave Scanner as it updates every second? Want to find rocks within minutes, and then have so much fun doing so you forget that you have a limited amount of fuel in that SRV?

Well, look no further.

I had to trim the video down to 15 minutes because YouTube is stupid and doesn't like my phone number, but in the Before-I-Edited-It 8 minutes, I approached the planet, landed, and found 2 rocks, scooping up 8 units of material. The others came fast and furious after that.

I point out the noises and weird lines on the Wave Scanner and (hopefully) will teach you what they mean.

Main tips:
-Send your ship away so you can start listening and watching for materials nearby.
-The scanner shows visual "noise" on the upper (high) side and the lower (low) side. The low side is closest to the bottom of the screen and it gives information on materials (minerals & metals). The high side points out points of interest like canisters, crash sites, data points, etc.
-Focus on the audio noise and drive towards it. The louder it gets, the closer you are to the prize! It'll also become more defined on the wave scanner. Many times I went towards a noise and had it break off into 3 and wound up with 3 mineable rocks in close proximity to each other. Win!
