There was a time when nobody cared what anyone else did behind closed doors.
It just wasn't anyone else's business.
Oh - we've come so far...
Yeah I'm sure gay people are just dying to go back to the old days

Cant we leave the PC nonsense where it belongs, like every social media source ever, instead of on this forum?
If you would like to elaborate on what is nonsense about PC then may be... Depends what you mean by "PC". One person's right to be heard and respected as a human can be another person's PC nonsense. The great thing about this thread is two players have stated they are gay men on a gaming forum.
Ten years ago they would have been ripped and quite likely (I'm not speaking for them I'm making an assumption about gay gamers and societal tolerance in general) they would not have stated so. It's probable on other gaming sites they may still be ripped. So, maybe an accidental procedurally generated anomaly does have a little significance. Maybe the Elite is community is actually less Elite: Dangerous and more Elite: Unusually Diverse. Women play it, men of course, straight, gay, trans and whoever else. They all play this game and it's probably something to celebrate. Not forgetting the Anarchists, Liberals, Socialists, Republicans, Tories(spit) and even a Trumper or two all coming together and killing each other in comfort. This may be online Utopia and you don't realise it!
If people started arguing for real, this thread would be closed - not worth it.
As for me, let's just say I prefer factual correctness, and if someone chooses to be offended by it... It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make (to be read in Farquad's voice).
I realize that the OP is being supportive, but it isn't politically correct to admit that gay people exist. It's simply being realistic.
Now, I will point out that I haven't seen any mentions of husbands for male pilots.
A 10 page thread over a bit of randomly assembled flavour text? Jeez...

I'm surprised to read the 'wife' concept still exists in 3303.
What sleutelbos and Enderby just said. Times change thankfully. My kids have friends that have two mums and no-one bats an eyelid. The internet is a breeding ground for SJW's, I'll grant you that, but this just isn't an example of that.
I bet they'll grow into special snowflakes.
Lol yeah. It's a state school in a not particularly affluent area of the East Midlands. A well know breeding ground for pampered Millennials...
