I'm hoping they don't say a damned thing about what's out there in the black. Assuming there's anything out there at all. I would dearly love to be the first to come across an unknown alien race and live long enough to get back and tell someone about it.

That doesn't rule out a rogue AI as a dangerous enemy that the factions temporarily unite against.Actually I seem to remember MB saying on a Dev Diary that there wont any dangerous rogue AI.
Something along the lines of.." AI is considered so dangerous that its one of the few things the different alliances agree not to produce and work together to fight against"
Possibilities of Aliens was left open ended, and the Thargoids would make their presence felt at a later date...(and the Thargoids are all female...![]()
