How will multicrew work in Odyssey?

Point me to the right location to this answer if this question, and subsequent questions are answered in another location.

Player A in a ship offers a multicrew land-based mission to steal a power regulator at planet outpost alpha.

Player B on a ship in a dock at location beta joins the crew on player A's ship.

Player's A & B execute the mission. Is this a telepresence thing for player B or does player B have to meet player A on foot at a starter station?

Player A & B execute the mission, and player B logs out of the game. Does player B lose all benefit from the mission? Does player B remain onboard Player A's ship?

Player A & B execute the mission, and player A decides not to turn in the mission. Is player B captured on player A's ship until the mission is turned in?

Player A & B execute the mission, and player A decides to log out. Is player B trapped on player A's ship? Does player B get teleported to location beta with/without benefit?

Player A & B go to the outpost to execute the mission. Player A shoots and kills player B. Does player A gain ship-based notoriety?

Player A & B go to the outpost to execute the mission. Player B shoots and kills player A. Does player B gain ship-based notoriety? Player B always parks in a discardable sidey right? How does player B get to location station beta after murdering player A? Is suicide the best option? Can player B hop on friend player C's ship at the outpost alpha? Can player B complete the mission after murdering player A?

Player A & B go to the outpost to execute the mission. Player C, friend of player A meets them at the outpost alpha and shoots and kills player B. Does player A get off without consequence?

Player A & B go to the outpost to execute the mission. Player A has the power regulator. NPCs or Player B murder player A. Can player B loot player A's corpse?

This is going to be complicated.

I would be ecstatic if any of the scenarios you mentioned were possible and did not crash the game.

Multicrew is such a great learning tool, too.

To be honest though OP, I'm not even sure FD know how it will work at this point. They didn't even board the Crusader at the end of the recent gameplay. One would think that surely they have it figured out, and they were/are still implementing it. Maybe it won't be in the alpha at first.

The telepresence guy will shot the settlement, getting everyone killed in the process including wrecking the ship
Why?
Because they can

Edit: then the telepresence host will file a bug report on the issue tracker claiming there are issues with the multicrew, issues where the weapons malfunctions and discharge by themselves. Because that's what the telepresence guest told him

Perhaps all these issues are why Odyssey has taken so long?

We can guess answers to some of those (though AFAIK they would only be guesses at this point), but some really are a puzzle. Like what happens to B when he's onboard A's ship out in space, and A logs out. The nearest equivalent we have is when a Carrier owner logs out with someone onboard, but Carriers are persistent, ships aren't.

It's been called "physical multicrew", which implies no telepresence. I'm assuming telepresence multicrew will continue to work as now, so your telepresence avatar can't leave your ship/SLF (no projectors elsewhere). Though I suppose it's possible to have projectors in the "social hubs", so who knows?

As FDev often does seemingly in terms of game mechanics, they try to separate new mechanics as much as possible to avoid aggravating dependencies to existing ones. Even if that results in weird game world inconsistencies or, even worse, the features actually being disjointed from the rest of the game. In some cases even so much you might wonder why they bothered to make it at all.

Sorry, we're limited to players A through C until the Dropship is freed.
I wanted to take a jab on this

Answer to all questions: we don't know.
☝️This.
But we DEMAND answers now!

The telepresence guy will shot the settlement, getting everyone killed in the process including wrecking the ship
☝️ This too.
Looking forward to all interesting methods to grief people in Odyssey.

Multicrew, that was 2017's disaster, I'm sure frontier have forgotten it even exists let alone incorporated it :ROFLMAO:
You missed an opportunity to tell us why small seismic charges will solve these problems 😁

How will multicrew work in Odyssey? Poorly

We all know how ships rubber band all over the place in the current game. Just imagine seeing players skating around bases or even better magical teleporting everywhere. Anyway we can all dust off our router to make all the difference.:ROFLMAO:
