How would you build in this 7 slot system with no landable planets?

Yeah, I messed up. Rushed into Colonization on launch day (mistake 1), immediately started building the most expensive thing, an Orbis (mistake 2), and later realized my system had zero landable planets (mistake 3).

But I will not abandon it! I finished the Orbis a couple of weeks ago and took a break, but now I'm ready to build more stations to hopefully make this a thriving system! In total, there are 7 slots available. How do you recommend I proceed?

I've been using this awesome tool by CMDR Nowski, and while I understand how it works, I have no idea what my progression/focus should be.

Does that mean I can/should build an Asteroid Starport? Or just a Mining Installation?

And should that be the very first thing I build?
You will need 3 "Tier 2" build points in order to build the asteroid starport, so will first have to build 3 tier 1's such as satellite, space farm, etc. to earn those points. Then you could build an asteroid starport by the belt.

There's no should be there's no wrong answer but limited slots so plan your point spending.

A relay t1 installation by the station + 1 T2 points. hightech influence for your station if that gets fixed.
A commercial outpost at the secondary star. +1 T2
A farm at the secondary star. +1 T2.
Asteroid base in the belt -3 T2 points.

We've got 3 slots left and we didn't add any security.
Communication station in the slot between the belt and the star. +1 T2 points
Security station at the primary star -1 T2 points.
I'd finish up with a Military outpost at the primary star to benefit from the military market pressure from the security station.

I thought about a coriolis but the points remaining make it pretty hard to get security and a good economy. You don't need security but you might like it if you're hauling.
You can swap the commercial outpost for an industry move the farm to the primary star and try for a agriculture Coriolis if you'd like.
You can skip all stations and go for a medical center and a bar or government installation.

Mix and match as you desire you can get 5 T1 and 2 T2 or 4 T1 and 3 T2 if you skip having a second station and only take outposts.

@PilotB Thank you for such a detailed answer. I'm more than happy to not build another Coriolis after the grind that was my Orbis :)

So on CMDR Nowski's tool, that would look like this, and in this order, right?

You need to look if building an outpost below the orbis would flip its economy.
(not civilian or commercial).

I heared it kind of works, but If I was in your spot I would make a ticket and ask them directly.
I would also look around for a player orbis with an outpost below, and check its market.

That would be it. Adjust as desired. If I was building it for myself I'd swap the security and military over to a criminal outpost and pirate installation for style. Skipping the security and going for Industry instead of military would also be thematic but probably less hospitable for you to fly around in.
I chose an installation beside the orbis because they're listed with market pressure so in the future that could give a high tech orbits.
If you want different markets just go through the list of t1 and t2 installations and adjust as desired the ratio and ordering to get points matter the actual option doesn't.
The order in which you build the outposts does not matter too much you could build that second outpost at any point in the build order that you like. The most important thing is to make sure not to over spend on the t2 points. You're slot limited so the build order is there to ensure that the points are created and spent with minimal left over.

Markets are just one part of using the system so you do not need to build for market influence but that list to me, gives you a nice appearing system with good base stats and the possiblity of some markets forming.
