How would you feel about real world content?

Wasn't sure if this should go in discussion or ideas, but how would you feel about real world content being added to the game for free or as DLC? Basically what happened in RCT2 with real world six flags parks, or the rides from Hershey's in RCT3.

I honestly wasn't a fan of how this was handled in RCT3. The Hersheypark Kissing Tower and Reese's Cups rides looked so out of place in user-created parks. They seemed like giant advertising eyesores rather than welcome new rides. I would always wind up using the generic Observation Tower or Tea Cups instead. The Storm Runner coaster was great, but it was so ridiculously limited. You could build Storm Runner and that was about it. The new track pieces and trains did not integrate into other coasters which limited what you could build by artificial limitations.

In RCT2 the Six Flags stuff seemed more subdued. Ride status indicators were flags instead of lights, Six Flags parks were created using RCT2 assets, some Six Flags scenery appeared, and ride and track layouts based on Six Flags rides were created. There wasn't anything that felt like a giant advertisement or wildly out of place.

If Frontier wants to make deals with parks then they should give us stuff we can use. Flying Falcon and Rodeo are two generic rides from Hersheypark I would have loved to have. A Wilcat or Comet coaster track layout would have been preferable to a unique/separated coaster type. Six Flags normally makes a big deal out of its comic and cartoon character licensing. Themes based on superheros or cartoon animal characters would be welcome since it's not so specific to Six Flags that other parks don't have these. Finally, if they wanted to strike a deal with Universal I'd say give us dinosaurs and wizards, but I wouldn't want the "Jurassic World 2 Coming in 2018 Ferris Wheel" for example.

I liked the hersheys coaster it was cool to build, but I didn't like the hersheys shops or rides. If anything, I would like to see real life character entertainers, like Looney Tunes characters or something. But that definitely isnt necessary. Seeing real life parks in RCT2 was cool for about 2 minutes, I never saw a point in playing or building in those parks. But in first person mode and riding actual rides would be cool. I'm sure many players will make pretty accurate recreations if we get the right tools or UGC [cool]

The big issue with having any real amusement park created by Frontier to place in the game is licensing.

Disney likely won't license their rides/characters to Frontier, they'd enlist their own studio and build their own "Disney Theme Park" creation game, without stuff that is non-disney appearing in it. I'd love to see this happen- but I don't think Disney is even considering it right now.

Six Flags only has Amusement park rights to the DC and WB characters. This means the only assets they could license are the Six Flags brands, which I'd love to have access too in the game, but honestly aren't nearly as detailed as what Frontier has come up with already.

Universal wouldn't be able to do license the Harry Potter stuff, but they could do any Universal stuff (unless they've licensed out the game rights to any specific IP).

Basically, all we'd be able to get are pieces of real amusement parks, and likely at great cost to Frontier, so they probably won't bother. Once UGC is implemented though, I'm guessing we'll see tons of Disney, Six Flags, and Universal content uploaded and full, accurate recreations of amusement parks created in PC, assuming Frontier turns a blind eye to the copyright violations.
