How's the community goal in Volungu going?

dull to be honest - the banter is the highlight.

no one can understand how the global progress is racing up and up when we're doing literally nothing in the CZ.
The high one has a cap ship blowing stuff up so no combat bonds and in the low one nothing has turned up - however the simiulation is trying to make us believe it's earning 100mnl+ credits / 30 mins

for real - almost 30 mins and not one empire ship has turned up now.

350mln + credits since roughly 7pm added to the total

Yup, was there last night and it was ridiculously boring and, as you said, the banter was what made it fun. We were all practising barrel rolls with flight assist off and then it was a free for all when the occasional enemy ships spawned.

Oh, that and getting a nice gentle kiss off a player Anaconda to my Vulture. I was touched. Literally and figuratively.

It really needs some Empire CMDR presence.

I have been based there for a few days and its boring as hell if there are no Imperial CMDRs to fight against.

Hope PowerPlay sorts this out. One sided community goals are pointless farming bores.

Got a question and this thread seems quieter so far...

I went to Volungu and managed to get a combat bond after a while (it was a suicide zone for Imperial regulars). I may have said something uncomplimentary about Imperial Commanders trying to take out wounded ships in retreat. I then got a wing invite, and being naive, didn't check the name. Shortly after I found I was being shot at from behind but the usual "under attack" message hadn't sounded. Then another player (not sure if it was the one who winvited me, he denied it later) had turned red and got blown up in short order. At some point during this, the wing thing vanished.

Is this just me being paranoid about a bit of confusion, or was it some kind of friendly-fire stratagem?

I found myself running away several times after all the ships, which were my allies, suddenly turned red and started attacking me. I think it's a friendly fire thing, either one of my wing or I hit a friendly and they instantly turned. Hopefully this'll improve after the next update.

It's awful. The capital ship is a frelling joke. Lugh was over a month ago. You would have thought FD could have sorted something out which works. Especially if you think about how long cap ships have actually been in the game.

I feel sorry for the CMDR's who can't have any luck in the cz's in open, it's kind of expected that no imperials want to suicide in those zones. The Npc ships should start spawning in relation to the number of players in the zones, that would give some chaos.

I play in solo and have a lot of fun with this goal, many many targets and its very easy to stay in the 5 % reward bracket. I even had to retreat at times due to an overwhelming amount of enemies.

Was there in open last night with lots of other cmdrs ..wasn't a lot to kill there ...but a few guys in group play I was listening to in TS were having aball killing lots of NPCs ...so my guess its all being done in solo and group play

I had something similar happen last night as well. I'm thinking I got baited.

My recommendation:

Get a mate, or mates, together forming a private group and blast the low intensity conflict zone.

There's no Imperial commanders in open anyway so it doesn't matter.

However, for some reason enemies are spawning constantly in solo or private.

I was making roughly 300,000 every 40 or so minutes.

13,000 per python, which were spawning like flies and we were taking them down so fast it became funny.

This managed to get me and my friend in the top 15% bracket and is keeping us there.
