HTC Vive, how to tackle nausea.

Even as a child I used to get a lot nausea in cars back seat. Or in a buss. Now days I do not get it.

I tried to play ED with ps3 controller while using Vive, and every time I went fast and furious or looked up while curving I had some extreme nausea. When I was looking at the horizon and soar trough the space and evaded asteroids I did not get uncomfortable. But I can't have dogfights like this. I have not measured my IPD yet for maximum effect on vive, so I should do that soon.
What settings I should use for best comfort levels, how much should I play daily to get used to whole virtual ordeal on elite? because man it's so awesome. I am ordering HOTAS and want to buy the voice packs and explore the galaxy.

You guys got any tips to tackle nausea experience? or at least keep it on minimum. Any good anti-nausea pills to take? any little cheats for my brain? some in-game settings? I am jealous of people who have high resistance for nausea. I enjoy roller coasters but man I have the feeling to throw up every time.

For me, the feeling of nausea only happened on the first day or two, then it lessened a lot during the first week. Now I can play for several hours during the day with no ill effect. I think your brain just learns to adjust.

I know this may sound a little naive, but does taking motion sickness medicines help? I've never suffered motion sickness, but my mate does and we were talking about this the other day.

As a child I was motion sick from everything that moved, now I'm a sailor already for 30 years, so there's an example you can overcome it.
I think pills make jou very sleepy.

Lower framerates exacerbate nausea, try dropping quality levels?

For nausea in the buggy enable "Vehicle maintain horizon camera". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvo0xyB8Zdc

I'd also say to a degree you can get used to it, stick with it and I think the effect lessens over time.

Sorry got nowt else beyond popping pills but that's not ideal.

Any anti-nausea product should be in your system well before you encounter the conditions. If you are prone to seasickness you need to take the pills 12 - 24h before you get onboard. Taking it after you feel ill does little to abate the symptoms.

With the SRV, start driving slowly on the flattest terrain you can find. Running at full tilt over uneven terrain will pretty much guarantee a heavo-ho stomach. Get used to is, keep your eyes on the horizon (not a pun) and once you get used to it, you can step it up incrementally.

There are also settings in graphics you can turn on to minimize nausea.
