HTC Vive permanent price drop ($200 cut)

Rift is still a better deal, now. When sale ends, they will be similarly priced, considering you need $70 for the third Rift sensor for full roomscale. One can also factor in the 120€ cost of the deluxe audio strap for the Vive, while Oculus is comfortable out of the box. Vive also has this ecosystem thing going, with trackers, wireless, and Valve's knuckles controllers.

yea this price drop has made me consider buying one of these. But TBH besides Elite I don't see a game that I like that is either VR compatible or a VR title. Not really thrilled with Elite currently so ... might wait & see if they go on sale during Xmas & see if 2.4 & beyond is worth sticking around for.

what games do you like? there are loads of cool VR games now.

lone echo is probably the greatest of the bunch (subjectively) - i have criminally still not picked it up yet.

I've been doing a lot of Assetto Corsa lately. I built a whole rig for it and the immersion is greater than Elite Dangerous. I wish I had time to do both but I don't. I will jump back into Elite Dangerous once 2.4 comes out thou. As for room scale there are also quite a few really good ones.
