HTC Vive to expensive?

£760 is too much, so £835 isn't?

I just have an issue with finance deals in general.

If I had to spread payment for an HMD over two years. I'd rather do so by setting £35 aside each month now and be prepared for second generation VR.

but I know, I get impatient too.

And vr is awesome.

The only finance deal I'll ever take is one with zero interest. The only thing you should EVER take a loan out for is a house and a car... and on my last car, I got a zero interest deal from the dealership. :)

I just pull a bit of overtime when I have a pricey toy to buy.

But no, I think the Vive is expensive and also appropriately priced - at this stage

Don't worry.. in the UK at least, you have as much chance of getting the finance as you do of getting a mortgage. UK lenders only tend to give finance on a 100% clean credit rating AND if you own your house. It's become a complete joke here.
