HUD destination option

I'd like the option to have my destination star highlighted on the HUD, as well as just the next jump star.

Also, to be toggled on/off, to show the path marked - going off into the distance.

This would help give a sense of location

Hmm, this sort of thing has been discussed many times, one of the problems is the star field you see through your windows is a 2D image so I am not sure you will get the effect you are after. This is from EVE right? I believe they do it like that, they use a different system to display the starscape.

Would be cool.

But the background is a skybox calculated during hyper-jumps.

Not sure if FD could manage at-will highlighting a star that is on essentially a large spherical jpeg.

On the galaxy map, sure. But the view from the cockpit, probably not technically feasible or not worth the effort.

But cool for sure, I'd love to be able to click on any start in the sky from the HUD and plot a route there!
