So, just bought an Adder. Now I'm left squinting at my interface, because the holographic HUD is further away from me in the adder than it was in the eagle or the sidewinder. Given that my PC isn't the greatest, and I'm running the game at 1360x768, the decreased text size is making it far less clear.
This is just... wrong in a basic way. This is not how you handle user interfaces. If you're going to use a standardised, holographic HUD... it needs to *be* standardised.
So either the HUD needs to be detached from the cockpit, and actually (sensibly) get projected onto the pilot's visor... or every ship needs to have its HUD distances matched, or there needs to be a font size option.
Given that the HUD in the adder is already disconnected from the design of the cockpit (the contacts/navigation panel appears hovering in mid-air between the two seats), there really isn't any logical reason for the positioning and distance of the HUD components to be any different to any other ship.
All that being said, the adder does come with cup holders.
