It means you are now a respected pilot in that port. You must have done enough trading or missions to earn their respect.

Congrats! It means instead of shooting you to pieces for breaking the law, they will now say something like "Greetings, respected ally", before shooting you to pieces.

You should get interdicted and scanned less often, as well as a discount on fuel, but NPCs from that faction will sometimes still try to pirate your cargo / kill you.

They're trying to make up for the airlock loitering incident I guess.

Funny thing is I was in the middle of setting up and tweaking macros on my G13 them, I pop back into the game and notice that and think, NOW what the "f" did I touch/break/adjust. But in looking around and thinking ... they're RED when I shoot at them or they shoot at me. They're yellow when .. they're neutral or don't know. So .. green must be good.

And it was a lot of trading. I have a route that yields ~1550r/ton one way and 510cr coming back. Can you say .... MMMmoooooo !
