Im really surprised no one has spotted or mentioned this in here, the CG at WYRD is transporting Tantalum to the system, global reward is an unlocking of the HUGE burst lasers, ooosh im there already in top 10%, woah yeah.....

Actually yes, this has been brought up. But we wont get the guns till 1.6, so dont get your hopes up.
If I remember correctly, tier 2 of this CG unlocked huge gimbaled pulse lasers as well. I should have taken a screenshot. Anyway...not till 1.6...

I did, when the huge pulse Gimbaled laser was unlocked at a previous tier.
I'm still hoping for 1.6 to arrive next Tuesday....
I'm in top 10‰ 2with 12,000+ tons but does anyone in the top 10 cmdrs want to spill on their tonnage so far? ;-) you know, just in case I have a small chance of making it by thurs...

Beta will still run for 3 weeks atleast.. After that, i can go pretty fast.. I'd say 1.6 will release June 7... (pure speculation)
Not sure what you mean, I'm guessing you weren't aware that Global Rewards are available to everyone, whether you take part in the CG or not (or maybe you don't have a ship with huge hardpoints yet?).
Basically, unless I am missing something, these rewards seem to be indicating that some of the new Huge weapons that we had all been told about, may be coming to 1.6 (not sure if the previous information had indicated that they were going to be specific to 2.x). Though I don't know that huge bursts had been mentioned prior (pulse, multicannon and beam def were).
As far as i know, the new weapons will come in 1.6. This because its a change in the base game aswell.. People without Horizons will be able to equipe those huge, and large new weapons as well.
The "unlocking" of the huge weapons in the CG just means that they wil definitely be available at that particular station once the CG completes and when 1.6 update is available (this should be the update with the new huge weapons).
Sad face about the date Dusty suggested tho. I'll be optimistic and still hope for it earlier, with horizons on 16th June...

So that's what it means. I got the dumb idea that the whole unlocking thing for modules meant that some may not be added to the game. XD
Well, i read the CG rewards description as "the huge gimbaled bursts will be available to fit this Thursday" as the term "unlocking" implies, they are not unlocked when 1.6 hits, they are part of the game when it hits.? Right? Wrong?
