Hull mass / armour strength balance

Bingo.... without saying it myself, the chart clearly illustrates how overpowered the Anaconda's improbably hull strength to weight actually is. It either needs its mass hiked up or its armour strength decimated IMHO.
if it was such an issue, it would be the meta.. and we all know thats not the case.

I'd say it needs a lot more than a 10% nerf to its HitPoint/Tonne ratio...

The numbers below are the data for 400t hulls.
Name__________HP__T__HP/T
Imperial Clipper4864001.22
Alliance Chieftan5044001.26
Anaconda9454002.36

The numbers below are for the top armoured ships:
Name____________HP___T__HP/T
Federal Corvette6669000.74
Imperial Cutter72011000.65
Anaconda9454002.36
Type-10 Defender104412000.87

Whatever way you look at the data, the anaconda sticks out like an oversized sore thumb painted luminous orange.

You should do the same for mass lock factor too.. Type-10 is the most massive ship in the game but has lower MLF than the cutter... Anaconda has higher MLF than a Type-9 and almost as much as a Corvette....

The Anaconda hull is made with a special material no other ships have access to. The new Guardian ships might give the Anaconda a run for it's money, as Guardian hulls/materials are meant to be super light and strong.

Yep, this has been known for years. Frontier has even admitted it's broken, I think it was Michael Brookes who stated it.

I doubt Frontier will ever fix it though, the ship is too popular. Which is of course due to how broken it is...

It's a lot like how Frontier won't bother to improve CQC or PP or Multicrew due to how unpopular they are. Which is of due to how broken they are too, just in the opposite way.

Isn't it basically "the meta" for exploration because of its insanely low hull mass? Not everything in the game is combat.

The only reason you don't take an Anaconda exploring is if you just don't like it as a ship, or can't afford it.

For those of us that just run around and play can someone explain the post please.
Thanks
The gist is that the Anaconda's hull mass is set at 400, which is the same as a Chieftain and barely more than a Python, (which are medium-sized ships). This means it gets better returns on the FSD and Thrusters equipped, and the amount of hitpoints it has per-point of hull is twice or more of the other large ships.

Who cares? It's been like it from the start and no-one claims it's PVP god mode so it's not important balance wise, just use some handwavium about it's designer being the only "engineer" who ever specialised in hull strength/density and how he got it spectacularly right on this particular project and then get on with your life.
