Ship Builds & Load Outs Hull mass etc.

Hi fellow tinkerers,

I have a few technical questions:

- What is the effect of Hull mass? Especially in relation to Armor? More Hull mass makes you accelarate slower in normal space? Requires a bigger shield generator? Makes your ramming more effective? Decreases your FSD range? Does it also make your hull last longer, once shields are down? Does it protect your internal modules better? Is "More hull = less dying" too simplistic a view?

- Are pulse/burst/beam lasers 'worse' on armor/hull than kinetic weapons? If so, how much? Is an 'all lazors' ship throwing away some|much damage potential, once enemy shields are down? I like not needing ammunitions, but I wonder about the potential ineffectiveness of lasers on hull.
