Hey there! While anxiously waiting for the next update, I've being playing a bit of JPOG out of nostalgia and have another suggestion for general game-play and management:
One of the most troublesome areas for any company is human resources. How many people you can pay, how many you need, where do you need to place them, etc
So far, JWE lacks a similar feature save for the restaurants and shop's staff. Well, maybe adding a detailed system would make an annoying and undesirably complex issue, but I just wanted to share what I thought.
First, the requirements:
They work under the Entertainment Division (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on crowd management, providing the following perks:
These would require a bit of game rework; specifically, the disease/cure system, the animal transport system, and some features of the Hammond Creation Lab.
They work under the Science Division (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on animal management, providing the following perks:
They work under the Security Division and allow (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on security protocols, providing the following perks:

First, the requirements:
- 3 new buildings (either that, or adding a newer use for the 3 division centers) or perhaps 3 new researches. Either way, rep-bound
- 3 new Staff types: Vets, Island Managers and Captains
They work under the Entertainment Division (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on crowd management, providing the following perks:
- They hear the visitor's criticism and, from time to time, condense them into tips for improving like "They say Viewing Gallery 01 is too far away and that they starved while waiting in the line" or "Apparently, the Fossil Center is not providing enough fun". That is, they draw your attention to the areas in most need of improvement, in a more friendly and direct way. Also grant access to Social Media, a feature similar to Twitter/FB and the like, where one can read the guest’s thoughts about the Park.
- They can manage packages and reservations, thus greatly easing troubles with queues and wait-times; for instance, placing one in a Hotel would reduce its overcrowding and the direct needs within it’s radius.
- Impart indications and tips for guests as well as help in managing their visits, thus increasing guest’s visits to those attractions otherwise too isolated or not sufficiently covered by facilities. Thus, using the Innovation Center, a single attraction can be sponsored. The farer the attraction, the more guests will visit every other facility and exhibit on the (straight) way to it.
These would require a bit of game rework; specifically, the disease/cure system, the animal transport system, and some features of the Hammond Creation Lab.
They work under the Science Division (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on animal management, providing the following perks:
- They keep track of dinosaur’s health and welfare, thus not only alerting when some disease breaks among them but also immediately medicating the feeders of their enclosure so as to treat them all. Feeder replenishing, sedating and awakening sedated animals would be their normal uses.
- They provide access to vaccination on hatchery, immunizing new animals against already known and suffered diseases. The most virulent of them, and those not related to pathogens (like fern poisoning) would still have a chance of occurring anyway, with severe cases also immune to the feeder treatment.
- Dinosaur transportation should occur by land by default. It ain’t neither realistic nor even plausible to move sauropods through the air such “long” distances. There is also another reason in terms of gameplay: the longer the travel, the higher the chances of the sedated animal to wake up, with the corresponding consequences. This is something lore-stated both in novel and movies, and I think should be in-game. So, the third perk of Vets: they would assure safe transport maintaining them sedated and also unlock air-transport for certain species.
They work under the Security Division and allow (needing a high rep to hire them) and work on security protocols, providing the following perks:
- They keep all animals and human beings within the island monitored (cameras, tracking devices like scanbands, chips, etc or whatever methods can be opted and maybe implemented further as research or not) thus allowing quick squadron dispatch to be stationed on the most heavily crowded area whenever an emergency is called, in order to defend guests by both distracting and sedating the menacing dinosaur should it enters therein.
- They’re also experts on structures and vocal enough to claim all kinds of resources for their cause, thus allowing their teams to repair buildings even without electric supply (although at a slower rate) and also a quicker way to solve sabotages.
- Grants access to evacuation measures, thus allowing to rescue lost guests and completely empty the Park in a safe way during emergencies.
