v5.7 is horrible. after the thargoid wars i thought there would be peace forever. would you believe i even married one!.
that worked out well. she's long gone. i have to pay her an allowance AND take care of the kids.
ive had to sell my beloved conda. i'm back in a beaten up old sidewinder.
i'm skint.

ive tried to reason with the ex... she's squeezing me dry.... and not in a good way.

the kids want me to buy them things, and when i tell them that i have to give all my money to mummy
they start hissing at me. they look at me like i'm food.

i'm having to fly without insurance.

have you ever tried to survive on the profits of one ton of biowaste?...

i make half of it myself.

i must admit i'm starting to go off this game.

5.8 is still showing no improvement.

I paid more than 100 mil for my type 9, and I can't make any money bountyhunting.

THey need to nerf the other ships. It's ridiculous that a small cheap ship like a vulture makes more money than a 100 million ship. Complete Imbalance. Every ship need to make the same money in every role all the time.

I quit, I demand a refund, and then I'm gonna take that refund and back SC!

Your money is yours to do with as you will, but I went off that idea when the Church of Scientology merged with Cloud Imperium Games. I hear it requires $20000 and full Operating Thetan status to purchase the 5-toilet version of the Constellation now! Still, at least Hangar Commander Beta 6.2 looks shiny - although I don't know what the point of the free Cruise-a-Tron robot is. I think they really messed up the lore when they revealed that the Kr'Thaak are planned to be a race of evil alien Psychiatrists, what do you think?

(Surely now that they have more money than Apple, Google and Facebook combined, they will be able to finish the game?)

5.9 is the worst yet....

1. Alt-F4 doesn't make those people who unfairly use their better skills and hard earned better ships explode on the spot and transfer all their credits to my account so I want a refund
2. I haven't had to pay a penny since I bought the game so I want a refund
3. Two people have been mean to me and shot at me and because I wasn't aware that they were making up their own game and story FD have obviously ruined my life and I want a refund
4. The devs haven't read my mind or given me this weeks lottery results so I want a refund
5. Braben didn't personally answer the questions I wanted answering in the patch notes so I want a refund
6. FD have included a competition to give away something that's worth real money and they have the cheek of mentioning another company so I want a refund
7. Because I had to actually type this I blame the game, the devs, FD and Braben personally so I want a refund
8. Finally because my displeasure with 5.9 wasn't envisaged during beta testing I want a refund
9. Nearly forgot, the ships are all wrong, the background simulation is all wrong, the professions are all wrong, the big bosses at the end of the levels are all wrong, the market prices are all wrong, the NPC's are all wrong and this forum is all wrong....

keep my stinking money I just want a refund.....

Very disappointed.

I'd accidentally got a whole pile of chaff mixed in with a shipment of grain, so I went to one of those Military Installations and dumped it all in front of the rotating part.

Nothing happened.

C'mon guys, what's the point of that Combine Harvester attachment if it doesn't actually do anything ???

On a serious note, I am actually quite worried about CMDR Thrust from Bradford, has anyone heard from him recently?

I used to love reading his reports as I was downloading the next version, he was always spot on, and his BB speed was awesome, he was always far ahead of me.

I hope he didn't get stuck in 2.0 and is out there all on his own, maybe we should organise a search party?

The worst thing about 1.4 is the absolute silence from FD on the update. It was bad enough waiting for information about 1.3, but now for 1.4 they have gone complete silent
and have told us nothing boyond a vague teaser (1.3 +0.1 = 1.4!!!). It's clear they know exactly what they are going to release, it's probably already in alpha but they
aren't telling us for political reasons. I am so disppointed.

I hate to do this to you guys. I know it was a wonderful thing that you gave away a free sidewinder to all the beta backers when 6.7 came out and I don't want to be *that* guy, but I'm afraid I have a few issues with it.

A) It's too big for my garage. So big that I've got it parked out on the lawn. The neighbours have been complaining about it for a week. I try to tell them that it's a work of art, but they just say it's too big, too brash and that it's lowering property prices in the area.

B) The operating manual. I know it's a gift horse and all, but try as I might I can not get the thing to take off. I've checked the fuel gauge, and it seems fine. I've radioed the nearest airfield for permission. I've experimented with every dial and button on the dashboard but nothing I do seems to make the slightest difference.

Update:

I decided to call in some help. I've asked the local garage mechanic to see if they can sort it out. I'm not hopeful though. The local guy says it's because the engines are not functional. Not functional? How could you do this to me? I was hoping to be able to take it downtown and get the shopping in. I thought with it's 4 ton cargo bay I could load her up and not have to go back for a month.

WHAT, this is not working either, I am done with FD, I am off!!!.

No curtains, no tea maker, no sandwich maker, we were damn well (never) promised these, why are they not here, wake up FD and realise the truth, if you don't fix this now you are doomed <insert reason here>.

@ SJA Whilst I love your work, I do not need a docking computer to smash my ship into a station, I can do that perfectly well with out AI help, I have many times, don't focus too much on that part

(but the snarky docking computer would be really cool).

@ OP, nice one, I think we were well overdue a humour thread & a virtual +1 to all the people who made me smile.

I'm also disappointed that I have been given a free Sidewinder and I can't find a starship on Earth that has warp capability which can take me to LHS 3447 to pick it up. There is hope though as NASA may have accidentally just created a warp drive in the lab.

Thats nothing. Now they have upgraded the Hadron Collider we will have our own wormhole in Europe soon.
