[HUMOUR] Ultimate re-balance thread

With all the threads on buff this and such I thought it might be a good idea to have one unified suggestion based on all the threads

Firstly Jump range:
Any ship with a hull mass over 100 tons should have it lowered to 100 ton
Then add a x2 multiplier to the jump range formula.
Thus anyone should be able to outfit their ship however they chose and still exceed 50 light years

Secondly Power
Rather than increasing PP sizes which increase cost and mass, the solution is to cut to power usage by all modules, weapons, utilities, internals and other components to 10%
Then no one will ever have to worry about power again.

Power Distributors
Multiply capacity and recharge rates by 5, thus never having to be limited by the PD when firing

Ammo
Unlimited, we dont want to have to stop farming credits to reload, it is unfair on those who play that way
This includes chaff Heat sinks and SCBs

Damage
All weapons now do Thermal-Kinetic so we don't have to chose between pulse lasers and MC beyond aesthetics

Hard-points
All ships hard points are increase in size by one, that should make a lot better than the "Old anaconda" which seems to be the benchmark
So Small to medium Medium to Large Large to Huge

Maneuverability
The Python needs to be As Maneuverable as the Eagle
The Anaconda needs to be buffed to match the New Python
The Corvette needs to be buffed to be be better than the Anaconda
The Cutter needs to be buffed to be be better than the Anaconda
Heck Eagle Maneuverability for all

Speed
All ships should be 400/500 normal/boost
So noone can run with impunity and no once can chase anyone, leading to perfect balance.

Heat, fuel
Removed so as to not disadvantage ships that run hot or have small fuel tanks or lack slots for big fuel scoops

NPCs
Must have a minimum bounty of 100,000 CR otherwise killing them might not net the Max CR/HR
Explode when Hit when without shields
Only Carry Painite which is left behind when they die as legal salvage
Never interdict PCs
Always Submit to PC interdictions
Are unarmed.

Missions
Have 1 year timers and and a minimum payment of 1 million credits.
No cargo missions any more, courier missions only so as not to disadvantage those without cargo racks.

Trading
All goods count as rare goods but the max price is reached at 2.5 light years from origin

Have I missed anything?
 
The Sidewinder needs to be able to use C4s and have a Tardis cargo hold. You should also be able to install an Iwin button on the dashboard to push anytime you want.

PVP needs to be moved to Solo mode.

It should cost everyone 1 mill credits to play in Open.

And Nuck Chorris needs to be a god mode NPC that shows up whenever players are feeling cocky.

Other than that...seems like you got the rest of the discussion wrapped up.

+1 Vasious, you have completely summed up how utterly ridiculous this beta forum has become. It all started way back with the cries about fuel & repair costs, as soon as the devs caved in we started on this slippery slope.

You forgot planetary landings.. Buff the SRV, it should be able to take out a Corvette in orbit. And don't forget to increase its turn rate..

The BGS can be played by just doing one mission....and once completed provides a mulit choice menu to allow you to pick the outcome you want.

Honestly id rather an option to select how you want to help a faction and then receive missions that will help them to that end. Even being able to select which specific faction you would like to sponsor at that specific station. Right now having to log in and out to try and get some RNG for that effect is not good game play or good design. Sure they could give you a limit or something so you can just spam it but enough that you could spend the average playing time doing what you want to instead of waiting for luck to kick in to enjoy the game. Other than that missions are fun enough for me I just hate the RNG aspect.

Yeah sadly this is what has saddened me over the last few days.

Or simply increase the number of available missions from each faction massively. Though it would be nice to have them organized by faction, it would also be nice if they were organized by system in the transactions tab...

boom , we need death stars, to rebalance the nerf of the SCB!
 
I would just settle for a Class 2C coffee cup holder, to be fair. Also the greed of commanders knows no bounds. It really honestly doesn't. :)

I am very hopeful Frontier will recognise the current "noise" for what it is (excitement mixed with very projectionist thinking) and will do whatever they feel is "okay", regardless.

Edit: this is a very silly thread that shouldn't need to exist but stuff it, will rep it anyway. :)

Everything looks good so far, but you forgot to add ship warranty so nobody have to grind that money when destroyed. And autopilot so when I go to sleep my in game character keep doing his thing to get me that power play rank5.

Everything. Your feedback is totally unnacurate. 99.9% aren't things the community doesn't even...

... Oh wait... It was sarcasm mixed with a jab of reverse psychology... hehe... You got me... I always fall for it... I'm so dumb.

Not like our developers, who are omniscient, all-wise and never commit mistakes when balancing its own game content. In fact, they create beta-forums not because they need them, (they already have decided long ago what's best and right for us)... but to keep us occupied and entertained to their amusement, since our inferior minds are unable to comprehend the scope of the upcoming advents.

Pretty sure the 1.5 beta thread is actually a secret social experiment. Perhaps there will be some form of psyops added to the game and they need all sorts of bizzare input to program the right kind of AI.

The thing is, it's frontier. You can never be quite certain what Mr Braben has in mind.
 
<serious hat on> I actually wouldn't mind if Frontier actually did a run through of all ~31 ships now and tweaked them as necessary, buff or nerf. The game has been out to a huge audience and they've had a year of hard data and feedback that they didn't have when they designed most of these ships. I'm not sure that's possible though, since people would happily accept any improvement but probably wouldn't accept anything being taken away.

<clown hat on> I'd love to fly a capital ship though. Pre-nerf, obviously.
