Hunter Hostiles

Just reading the 2.2.01 patch notes and "Hunter Hostiles" are mentioned:

- Hunter hostiles now obey the same cooldown as normal NPCs to prevent instant interdictions

Is this referring to NPCs spawned from missions or to do with mysterious "Hunter" mentioned and pictured in the Gamescon videos?

I assume it's bounty hunters. Could also be pirate NPCs.

It's any hunters that are targeting you (rather than ambient NPCs) - this includes powerplay, missions and pirates targeting your cargo.

Thanks for the reply Michael. I guess I was hoping it would be something more exotic like "The Hunter", and perhaps I've missed these alien attacks that have been happening around the galaxy.

Cheers Michael, isn't it nice when one of the head honchos at FD takes the time to reply to a question. [up]

You mean there's a difference between "Hunter" NPCs and "ambient" NPCs?

Cause frankly speaking that explains a lot of the problems and issues currently displayed with NPC persistence (or the lack thereof), magically cloning and teleporting and exceeding maximum jump ranges all to interdict and attack you as much as possible...(granted, they aren't as crazy or frequent as they seemed to be right after 2.1, but nontheless it is an issue!)
