Hunting Bounty Hunters ?

Hi Guys :D

I just took a mission to hunt down 2 Bounty Hunters in the Doris system

How do i know who is a Bounty Hunter ? Wait for someone to scan me ? Should i have a wanted status ? Do i wait until someone Interdicts me ?

I foolishly saw a NPC attack someone that was wanted, finished off the wanted NPC & then attacked the craft which i assumed was a bounty hunter but now have a 5.5k local bounty on me


Any advice plz :D

The non-authority ships flying around scanning people and telling you "we're done here, move on commander" are bounty hunters :)

You can also check for KWS in the loadout.

I'd avoid these unless you want to get a bounty yourself.

It's much better to pick the pirates missions instead. And much, much easier to find targets.

You can get them to attack you if you got a small bounty in some independent jurisdiction(or at least they did that before) or alternatively just do the hunting in on of those small jurisdictions where the bounty doesn't matter much.

imho those NPCs should have "report crimes against me" turned of, like any human bounty hunter does ^^

so you could kill them when you and them are alone.

Realistically I suppose a few of the bounty hunters could have a minor bounty on them for accidentily scratching the paintjob of a cop that flew into their laser beam.

I actually saw this happen today, a bounty hunter playing with me and the pirates at the nav point initially came up clean. Fast forwards 5 mins and there's a couple of cops playing tag, too. Then I notice the bounty hunter is showing a bounty of 300 credits, but I leave him be, we were nav point buddies by then.

Just take those missions that are asking you to hunt bounty hunters or traders in anarchy system, and then you can just murder everyone at the USS.

Easier that way.

ugh, don't remind me about this. i've blown about a thousand creds in total because those stupid coppers don't know how to avoid crossfire.
