Hutton cured me

Welcome in the club :)

I made 20-something runs to Hutton during the Mug CG but just a few moments ago while doing a 200+Ls cruise it dawned on me about long SC's. I had also done a 400+ earlier in the evening.

Some folks whine about long SC's. I just go take a leak and freshen my beverage!

Just make sure you don't return to an insurance claim page.

IIRC they were saying during Hutton that after 200c of speed (I think) a potential interdictor can't catch you. I would set a timer and go about real life for that CG.

For short cruises (200k+) I don't go far but I don't babysit the ship either.

So far, so good!

Welcome to the brotherhood. You're now entitled to wear the official T-shirt of Hutton Orbital. :D

I made a trip to the store during one of my Hutton CG runs. Took naps on a few more. :D

People may moan about >50k Ls runs but with the SC acceleration, they really don't take that long. I think FDev has done a near perfect job with SC.

I flew to Hutton twice with my Cobra and never got any hull damage.

Have a look at your main repair page in station services.

Top right hand corner will show you ship integrity. A run to Hutton will quickly cause that to drop and in a Python, that will easily amount to 300k.

We run to Hutton for love, and madness.

So..................As a complete Hutton Virgin, how long does it take to run out there? And apart from the ethos of saying i have done it, is there any other benefit from making the trip?

About 85 minutes from start to dropping out at Hutton Orbital for me.

As for other benefits, gin and mugs!

Well, no...

Just no...

There really should be a way to make another, lesser "hyper" jump to another star in a solar system. :|

Things like Hutton are just crazy and I do NOT endorse anyone flying there. If you do fly there, and enjoy it, I dare say you MIGHT have a problem. :p

They need to add a few obstacles (asteroids... space 'road-works') along the way, just to keep things interesting for pilots who go AFK for a few minutes as their ship hurtles through space at several hundred times the speed of light.

Nyuk...nyuk....nyuk....

Hehe, it's definitely true that a few Hutton runs do work wonders on the perception of i.e. 600000Ls.

Before : What? 600k? No way, I'll just turn around. Screw this.
After : 600k Ls? Nice, I'll be there in no time!

Of course, I wouldn't make that ~85min Hutton run again unless I'd have a really good reason to. Because it is madness to be honest :D

NO!

That would make the trip interesting, and a tiny bit less mind numbing boring. That's completely against the spirit of that trip. It would defy the sole purpose of Hutton Orbital.

Yep stay with it at first then get up and make lunch. Popped in every so often to check what time was left sat down with a few mins to go. Not something I'd want to do often but if you're going to have to stop playing to make tea/lunch anyway and you're in the area then that's a decent amount of rares to pick up.

Don't normally moan, but I could have 3 or 4 ME3MP gold games done in that time.

Not saying I'm never going to do it, but certainly not without a very good reason :)
