As for the 85 minutes of sitting around doing little or nothing, just put on Hutton Orbital radio or in my case I listen to Radio Caillie.

Things like Hutton are just crazy and I do NOT endorse anyone flying there. If you do fly there, and enjoy it, I dare say you MIGHT have a problem.

I'm curious why the station was built so far out? What's it there for? Is it a mining outpost? Is there a reason or just coz?

I think that in the previous games as well Hutton Orbital was a very long journey to get to, so it's kind of traditional. Of course like many other things in the game, if you don't like it, you don't have to go there. That said, strangely, the Hutton Orbital Truckers Convoys were / are the most fun I've had in the game so far.

Actually, as luck of the draw would have it, I am honored to be a recipient of one of the actual 100 Hutton Orbital coffee mugs. I use it frequently too!

Hehe, it's definitely true that a few Hutton runs do work wonders on the perception of i.e. 600000Ls.

Before : What? 600k? No way, I'll just turn around. Screw this.
After : 600k Ls? Nice, I'll be there in no time!

Of course, I wouldn't make that ~85min Hutton run again unless I'd have a really good reason to. Because it is madness to be honest

Yes, exactly my point! Once you go Hutton everything else is just a hop, skip and a jump..

And I have honestly not been back to Hutton since the Mug CG, not even to pick up any of the Mug Rares. One day maybe, just not today. LOL

I used to cringe at long SC runs. Now a 200K or 400K Ls cruise is nothing. I accept it and maybe get up and stretch my legs or something.

After Hutton everything is right around the space corner.

It's true, super cruise is ennui. If only there were something to do, like use an on board trade computer, or adjust ship AI parameters...

Maybe Horizons + crafting and looting will make a better pastime? we can but hope.
