Hutton Orbital 6 million Light seconds away (.22 ly)

So I was in Sirius after dropping off Modular Terminal to Gwent and trying to decide where to go next and I saw a story in alpha centurai system profile about rare goods. So I decided to do a bit of rare goods trading and went AC only to find hutton orbital is 0.22 ly away from the star you jump to or 6,782,956 light seconds away... a two hour long trip!

Anyway to jumnp to it??

Nope, just cruise and enjoy the ride.
It should be about 1.5 hours.
When there was a CG there I did 30 trips.
.
Edit, Oh and say hi to Betsy on the bar for me, tell her I will be back one day :D

Famous Hutton orbital, remember never take missions that take you to alpha centauri that give you less than 2-3 hours to complete them.

I think there's a rare commodity there to help make the trip worth it. Souvenir mugs or something. Grab as many as you can and sell em far away.

Good old Hutton run, I do it whenever I get a new ship that can land there, we need a community goal to turn that outpost into a coriolis so we can go there with big ships too :)

Hope you like supercruise. Bit of a hike. Make sure you have enough fuel. The last thing any fuel rat wants is to have to rescue a client who was on their way to hutton.

Has anyone ever asked why an organisation would build an outpost that far from the jump point (unless there's a really good reason)? Doesn't really make economic sense to put some of these stations where they've put them.

No idea. I do plan to make the trip one day, maybe soon. After self-destructing at the end of the Distant Stars expedition, my paintjob is still far too pristine.

i was too scared to try. i was terrified of running out of fuel without making it there.

It's a myth that you'll run out of fuel getting to Hutton Orbital. Yes it's possible to run out of fuel, that's possible anywhere, but you can make the trip in a default Sidewinder if you dock at Al-Din Prospect first, refuel, and then go to Hutton Orbital. I know because I've done it in a default Sidewinder.

It's alright in a large ship because the facilities on board are just fine. However if you have stocked up on coffee and sandwiches before the journey, holding yourself for such a long time can be an issue in a small fighter. Buy the new portable Biowaste disposal unit from Sirius Corporation. Now comes in three sizes and attaches to all Federal flight suits.

will it work with any ship if you have full tanks? i would try it in my asp, if anacondas are cheap there, and then pay to have the asp shipped someplace easier to fly to.
