Hutton Orbital Run is now 19 minutes and possibly faster

I just watched Ricardo's Gaming streaming live do the Hutton Run in an engineered Cobra mkV filled with fuel tanks in 27 minutes. He SCO boosted for a solid 12 minutes and did shorter SCO boosts afterwards. His engineered Cobra mkV did not heat up higher than 53%

Someone else in chat is saying someone did it in 24m 21s.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space about as long as it takes to get to Hutton Orbital these days.

Apologies to Douglas Adams 😁

Finally it is reasonable to go and visit the Hutton Orbital nutters! But I do love their eccentric out of this world madness, better than the nonsense@Lave 📻 and the rants@Loose Screws.

Nah, love them all really!

Just to put this into perspective the trip to Thaskias' B-star is 18 minutes from entry star to dock (~400,000ls) without SCO. I did that trip a lot when I was working on the system. I don't know what the record is for the Hutton Run without SCO but its a roughly 90 minute trip.

I've been out exploring since before SCO was added, my only experience of it so far has been the E-rated Python MkII I bought with ARX & had delivered to my carrier out in the black.

Nice to see new records being established & improved upon significantly :)
