Hutton Orbital Upgraded?

Greetings,

Has Hutton Orbital been upgraded to include a large landing pad?

I'm in Wolf 562 and in both Berners-Lee Terminal and Hopkins Port I am being offered passenger jobs to Hutton Orbital, the only problem is I am in my Anaconda and I "thought" the station only had a medium landing pad.

It's been a looooong time since I did a mission. Combination of illness stopping me playing, and my preference for free trading.

IIRC however, being in a large ship will not stop missions that require smaller vessels from spawning.

If I am wrong, please, someone correct me.

its a long long way out from the drop point - i would consider carefully before going . Its a great way for grinding good doe for data runs however when you start out in your quest to make serious doe . ( thats how i got a safe amount of money to get me the flexibility to purchase other ships ) - not sure why huttons in the game to be honest , its just far far far away from the sun and , well yeah ... anyone who goes there should at least get some gamer points , or that mug to stick on your dash - one per user .

I have been getting several missions that I'm not sure are doable. The latest one, I received today, was a mission to deliver 180 explosives to Hutton Orbital from Mother Gaia at Galileo in Sol. The payout was 5,000,520 cr. How can you deliver that much if no ship capable of carrying that much cargo can land there?

Greetings,

Read the mission description carefully, chances are you're only going to a visitor beacon near Hutton

I think you could be on to something there... next time I load Elite up I'll check the details as I am in the system and currently docked at Berners-Lee.

Reason I originally asked/wondered was I "was thinking" about taking one of the missions to Hutton and landing and grabbing some Mugs/Gin, you know while I was in the area, but being in the Anaconda landing would be an issue... ;)

Would be about time, it must be the most famous and most visited tourist site in Elite. There have to be more CMDRs with the mug than without it.

A friend of mine went out there the other week without checking it first, and arrived there unable to land due to being in an anaconda.

A space station, themed about truckers, synonymous with hauling cargo... that doesn't have a large landing pad!?? Maybe one day in the future we might see some actual "trucks" at Hutton.

I agree, it is a little strange... Just like I just don't get the liner jump range... surely a liner should have a large jump range as standard.
I also think that in the 3300's a docking computer would be standard equipment... it would then be up to the pilot if it's ever used... option on right panel to turn it on/off perhaps?

I can understand what you mean, I've never used a dc myself, mainly as Id see it as a massive waste of a module space, then again, it hurts my brain when (in my conda) I have to put a class 1 discovery scanner into a class 4 slot 😠 it's the 34th century have they not heard of partitions?!
