After weeks of war, elections, CG's and general hard work, we are taking Thursday night off and have invited other player groups to join us for an evening of kicking back and CQC.
We are being joined by players from Canonn Interstellar, one or two of the SDC, Diamond Frogs, Dark Echo, Paladin Consortium and others.
At 8.30 pm GMT on Thursday we are getting 4 person teams together in the teamspeak server kindly loaned by Lave Radio - Laveradio.teamspeak3.com
There is an established process for making the matchmaking work and getting team v team games:
How to get the matchmaking working for CQC?
1. Get into the Laveradio.teamspeak3.com server for voice comms
2. Get into a team of 4 and nominate 1 leader
3. Get everyone taking part on your friends list - BEFORE ENTERING the CQC lobby
4. Once that's done, get into the CQC lobby
5. ONE PERSON from each team send out the team requests. If multiple requests get sent, or someone ends up in the menu, start over again - all out, all back in again
6. Once the teams are formed, get your team-mates into a wing channel on the teamspeak server
7. Team leaders, there will be a countdown in the main channel. on "4,3,2,1,GO" you ALL click the join button for Team Deathmatch (or CTF if you're doing that)
Psykokow and I will be broadcasting live from Hutton Orbital Radio at the same time so CMDRs Spike, Evenstar and Hober_Mallow will be your hosts.
If you are orphaned and not in a team yet, there will be a LFG channel and we can match you up.
None of our teams are CQC experts so there is room for novices and experts alike and we may mix the teams up.
The MOST important thing is to get your names down so we can make sure friend invites are prepared and the matchmaking servers have a good time.
There are a couple of xbox players looking for more people to join them as well as the potential to run a timed event on US time later in the evening if anyone wants.
