Hyperjump exit screaching sound

not that I have noticed either...………….
watch a recent you tube vid of someone playing do you hear same sound if so it's probably normal if not then it isn't and may warrant further investigation

nothing to worry about sound output from game seems normal to me
if anything check your soundcard sample rate (speaker properties) is 24bit 48000 hz as going higher may produce unwanted harmonic noise
still all considered normal though imo
(sometimes sound samples don't play like " your shuttle is ready for departure" as they seem to be flip of coin" on sample probability of being played or itsa a minor occasional numworkerthreads count bug or something still that's all just the quirks of this game an nowt to worry about either methinks

Yes I've had that on occasions - its a soundcard glitch. The sound is directly synthesised by the game, and sometimes not all the elements of the sound play properly. Then you can hear some of the layers its made up of, one of which sounds like a cross between and elephant and a trombone being tortured.

I think this glitch appears when the game engine stutters, for many reasons. I hear it pretty often when I disembark my SRV (which sometimes just stutters but sometimes the game crashes) or when I change the frame (closing to a planet, for example). In your case there might be a stutter on exiting the jump.

This bug started with the update of the new limpet modules, I also get a hang, pause when going to supercruise. It's ruined the immersion of the game for me. So I parked my ship on my carrier and will wait to test with new update or graphics card driver update. The rest of the game has been alright. I'll play other games until they fix it.

Its your fuel valve before the injector manifold. Most likely when its trying to close.
Take off all your clothes, smear white lithium grease alllllllll over your body, grab a can of WD40 and squeeze all way up between your engines and give the nasty thing a couple squirts. Should take a short 12 hrs total (unless you get stuck).
Did mine last month, it was quite refreshing. 👍

Still not fixed. I still get a pause entering and exiting supercruise along with the sound issue. The rest of the game is fine. I have 4 billion credits, so my carrier will last a while, but will they fix the game before I lose my carrier? Months later I'm not that hopeful, but they have refocused on PC.

I honestly don't understand why a sound lasting less than a second would stop someone playing the game. I have never had ED WITHOUT this sound apart from a brief period (noted above) where I didn't hear it - I just assumed it was part of the design. Just get used to it and play on... unless there are other things stopping you play but you said the rest of the game is fine.
