Tell ye what...no issues on my end at all. Loading screens are exactly the same 15 to 20 seconds maximum and Im getting lots of practice cos Im on the road to jacques with the hammer down...if its been lagging then this is news to me ^

Im on the xbone btw ^

Was on my way to a station on the Colonia highway but had to park at a toasty planet for the next few days instead. Hopefully it's fixed up soon.

Thought the open beta was for stress testing. What did they do with the results if not to fix this kind of issue? >.<

Guessing you're a fairly new player.

Unlike most MMO style games, Elite Dangerous relies heavily on Peer to Peer networking, rather than server farms. As a result, it's ridiculously quirky at times, even when you're not dealing with a national holiday somewhere that would have an impact on network traffic in general.

Not fairly new, no. I know very well that P2P has its flaws and can't be helped sometimes.

But coming to a point where you can't even log into solo because the connection times out or the server can't be reached due to high traffic, and this even in an empty, unpopulated, uncolonized system is somewhat concerning...

Edit: and no, it's not my connection that is borked (120Mbps down/6Mbps up, a 1Gb/s max network card linked directly to router)

Same here too, and I just got a transaction server error ctd.

Edit: And now I'm getting errors connecting to the ED servers.. all while anything else using internet at my house is 100% fine.

Edit2: And matchmaking server error. Guess I'm playing something else tonight :/

Matchmaking server error and got kicked. Now unable to connect and the launcher briefly said servers were offline. It has now changed back to OK as I typed this.

It was fine earlier, but in the past fifteen minutes minutes I've been getting dropped to the menu on every jump attempt.

It is right at the start of the work day in the UK though, so perhaps Frontier is just doing something with the servers.

I have the same problems in the moment - i need several tries to get into the game and then i am kicked out during the first (rather long) jump sequence with a transaction server error...

Not sure if i should care anymore or not...

Same here. Worst part is that I'm in a 2-jump maximum Viper Mk3, and the last disconnection used my fuel, but didn't send me to the scoopable star...nearly had to call Fuel Rats, but I had the mats for a range boost. Sad!

Here in the UK it took three attempts to connect then when I got connected the mission and passenger boards cannot connect to server. To be honest I have experienced several problems related to slow connection since the last update. It isn't on my side either as I have a 200MB fibre optic broadband service and everything else is just as superfast as normal. I also use the portforwarding option through my broadband hub set as recommended by FD and the ingame Network settings tally withe hub.
