I always thought the rift would be OK in room scale however here are the fantastic contraption guys proving the point

Obviously if you want big room scale the vive is still the better choice but for average living room scale it is fine.

Now my main concern from this vid is what is with the tracking lag on the controllers? Hopefully a beta thing because there is no lag on the hmd.
Edit. As explained to me ... Probably just a side effect of him combining the 2 videos not a real in game lag issue. Phew!
