But..
So far I can't find anything I like better about SC than I do about Elite Dangerous.

Yep.. SC is not as progressed as this game.
But as far as I can compare (even though SC has better graphics) it looks like I will be spending more time in the ED universe.

How many other are playing SC also?

What are your thoughts.

I've only seen video of SC so can't comment on how it feels. It looks like it has more bells and whistles and is much prettier but also seems much more arcadey. Fair comment?

Am regretting having backed it so early as there's not much content yet and the control system is so damn twitchy. Ships are being released at crazy rates and all very expensive. Personally not a yaw fan so it feels backwards to me. It certainly looks pretty but I don't think it's fair to compare the 2 at this early stage. SC is likely to be more pvp orientated especially as the very first content is exactly that. No bad thing. I think both will be distinctly different.

I am also a sc backer.

My main concern with the multi crewed ships is how they will get enough players in the same instance and still have a meaningful lagfree space battle.

I'm a backer of both and so far I've played about 15 mins of Arena Commander.

I've played a lot of ED since the alpha, though not too much as I don't want to burn out.

I may play a bit more SC after the next patch and they introduce vector thrusting for 6DOF.

The flight model of ED is so much better, I think a true space flight simulation won't be as fun as the sort of atmospheric hybrid like ED; the assist off in ED just adds that extra dimension (pardon the pun)

Adding to that...
I want to fly the multi crew ships... without having to wait on friends or supposedly fly with npcs that are not comparable to real players as far as skill.

And you will have to hire/pay for them.

Star Citizen started with different things, the basics on ground, with avatars and ships

So far SC has almost nothing that ED has

ED has almost nothing that SC has

SC always was at least one year behind in development they started from scratch.

The version of SC in 12 months should be compared to ED now.

In hindsight I´m sure it would have been better for SC to throw together some systems and let people fly around in some open space, and skip the whole avatars, hangars, PBR, excessive ships design thing. But then again they wouldn´t have 53 million $$$$

not an SC backer, i took a look but from what i could see RSI stands for repetitive sales injury instead of robert's space industries and that put me off the idea of backing both.
