I am being thrown off constantly

It is Sunday evening, and I am being thrown off repeatedly with some ED server message. Also session changes are sloooow in game.

Normally I am practically never disconnected. Is this because of DW2?

Just finished a nice evening of gathering Guardian mats - no connection issues. Will get back to DWE2 tomorrow when hopefully things will be back to normal, like last week :)

Well I had a seesion yesterday from around 2pm til 8 30pm GMT, here in the UK.

I'm in DWE2, though after the first week's jump fiasco, I'd decided to be away from the pack before the 'scheduled' jump last night.

I'm glad I did, I could see from my increasing loading of system times, as 8pm approached, that it was going to be an early finish for me.

Reading the 'chat' of those at WP2, they were struggling immediately to get back in after being kicked......at least I made it that extra 1/2 hour.......I finally got booted @ 8 30pm. No ing around this time, I logged out & did something else instead.

Seriously FD, if you want to have continued success with Elite & entice even more players to the game, by making the game even better than it is now, you've got to sort these connection issue's out.

Nothing kills a game quicker than being continually booted from it because of poor server problems......this WILL BE Elite's 'Achillies Heel' in the end!!!

Here you are:

the servers going down every time: This is an issue that sometimes cannot be avoided, even when our dev team work to ensure the servers can handle unexpected (and expected) load-spikes... be it general user spikes, special event spikes, community event spikes. It's like having 100,000 people hitting amazon.com at the same time, their servers will simply overload for a short while as things catch up - be it manual intervention or automatic scaling to get things back running. The same happened with our Elite Dangerous servers and the Distant Worlds II event kicking off. Having thousands of commanders hit the server with actions all at the same time, made the server CPU's go from low to max in mere seconds. It's something that I know our development team has been working on to minimise for quite some time.

Should I put in a support ticket for FDEV to add CPUs?

In an ideal situation. They don't want to invest in extra hardware for rare events that trigger these kind of loads. That sucks for the players during those events but it's good for their wallet. And that's the only thing they really care about.
