There are a ton of unhelpful people, who complain and tear down things the developers are doing. Many people who have obviously not searched out any information from any of the releases from the developers, and there are a ton of people who have expectations from the game that are completely detached from reality. So i understand why someone would want to leave it.

its a game, not a program for you to recreate whatever it is you want to recreate. I was hyped about the fact that it was going to be a game, and I can't wait to play a game. I do not want plazas, dark-rides, specialized supports, and modding. I want an amazing vision realized by an amazing team, that lets me play hundreds of hours of park management, building, development, and to lose my self in silly dreams of being an imagine-er again. I hope what my wishes for the game are close to what the developers are doing, everything they have said publicly seems to make me feel like i'm not far
And what matters to you is what should happen, right? It should be what a majority of people want, and what Frontier thinks will sell a game. RCT3 lived for so long because of how the community pushed that game, we made it to what we wanted it to be. Now we have the option to have a voice in this game being made from scratch, so of course we're going to say what we want and give suggestions about how we feel things should be implemented or handled. Whether Frontier follows our suggestions is up to them, but they've invited an open discussion and basically asked us to say what we want to get out of this game, so for anyone to suggest that anyone on this forum is doing anything other than that is actually kind of disrespectful overall. Sure some people don't express themselves with grace, but even criticism like "the coaster editor sucks" still means something if you ignore sort of the harshness of it.
If anything I feel like people generally are a bit soft in their criticisms on here. There's a lot of "I LOVE the game, but..." And "I know it's an alpha, but
.." instead of getting to the point and saying what you want to say. Of course it's nice to hear but in some ways I feel like everyone feels as if they have to praise the game when giving a suggestion or criticism or they'll somehow be looked down upon.
Either way, I think this community works well together, I wish Frontier would take a bit more of our suggestions into consideration to be perfectly honest, but other than that I think we got a pretty good symbiosis going here.
I would type of a full response, but I feel Stream covers my feelings to the letter.
We as a community are here because A: we love/Like Planet Coaster and B: Because we all want to help shape it.
To say that the Devs will build the game how they see fit is ignorance. They have listened to us and have made many great changes already. While I understand not everything that we want will make it to the final game. If we can have more features implemented up front, its less work on the back end to get a product that we all like.
And to the OP, Don't leave the game because you've had a bad experience on the forms: Please understand that many of us are here to help make a better game and help one another.
Not even the Ed Lewis fan club thread will make you stay?
Can't imagine there are any forums that don't have negative people, it's the world we live in. Thread seems a little OTT in my opinion given you could have just not made it and left the forum.
