I am not a big fan of the new themes

Don't get me wrong. The new themes are cool but the themes from Planet Coaster 1 were far superior. Pirates, fantasy, western, etc... feel more useful than vikings, aquatic or mythology. Please include the old themes in the second game because if we cannot create a western area in our parks or a studios park like Universal what is the point of getting a second game?

I have to agree. I never really liked old west stuff or pirates, per se, but the Western themed pieces, especially, in PC1 were also so useful for building the more Victorian-esque buildings that I prefer, and would've also been great for making, like, a New England fishing village themed area in this new game.

I don't think I ever used many of the Sci-fi themed pieces in PC1 either, but I'd imagine a lot of people will miss that if it's not in the initial release.

Anyway, I hope they'll give us back the old themes, if not in the initial release, then in a DLC later (hopefully very soon). I mean, it seems like all the old scenery pieces would be relatively easy to port over since they're already modeled -- just a bit of texture tweaking, adding the ability to scale, etc.

A DLC with the old themes would be cool.

A DLC with the old themes would be cool.
A DLC of the old themes + expansion thereof would be cool. I want my full horror-themed park
Frontier :). Give me all the horror stuff. 10 packs of it, I'll give you all my money and my first-born son.

I'm 50/50 on them.
I think the Aquatic theme is actually kind of cool, in a hyper-specific single ride kind of way and I'm actually excited to build with it now that true dark rides are a thing (although it does make me wish we had the tentacles from PC1).

Resort is pleasantly generic, you can build a park around that so no complaints from me.

Viking is... Ok. From the videos i've seen of what's in the game it doesn't seem like this theme was fully implemented yet so I'll reserve my judgement on it.

I think Mythology is probably the weakest theme for me on it's own. Greco-Roman will definitely appeal to come people, but it's maybe a little to specific. That said, I can see how it interplays with the other themes and idea's in the game. Atlantis yo.

I also agree I would much rather see regular/mainstream/common themes.

Something tropical/pirate and spooky are like the most important ones and shouldn't be behind updates/DLC.

Aquatic is like, what is it even? I get they do it because of the whole swimming pool stuff. But for the theme park i'd rather have normal themes.

Aquatic could be also heavily used for steam-punkish theming. I believe we can create something pirate-ish from the viking theme, i could imagine even somerhing like wild west.

In my opinion, there are so many pieces already available, we get to get used to the possibilities at first. I can also imagine that many, many players need more defined pieces for specific themes.

I am looking forward to future dlcs which will bring new themes. For me personally, it is good as it is.

Every dev-team is given an certain amount of time to get the game done. There is a limit what a team can do in this time. To port all the themes over and working on new rides and themes at the same time, plus new models for new features, is a bit over the top, in my opinion ;)

This time, i think, Frontier wanted to give us a fresh start with new themes to play with. I appriciate that!

This community is hyper-creative so i am sure we will see some of the old themes, made out of the new theme pieces in the workshop available :D

I do honestly now think those original themes will still be in the game and these new ones that have appeared are additional. But generally, sci-fi and adventure etc has been done to death. Spooky theming first appeared in RCT. Pirates and Western themes in RCT2. I think it is good that new theme ideas are coming through.

I never played PC1 (came in with Planet Zoo) but all the stuff I'm seeing for PC2 is making me want to buy it. I really hope they do re-include the pirate theme; I love that faux-Caribbean-style theming, a beautiful mix of nautical, historical, and tropical all at once. There's only one real theme park in New Zealand (Rainbow's End) and one of my favourite rides there is a log flume with heavy pirate/fantasy theming. When I first looked into PC2, that was what came to mind immediately.

I don't dislike the Mythology or Viking themes. The Aquatic theme is a bit much, I think, but it makes sense with the focus on water attractions. I do hope they keep some of the older themes, though, as (from a cursory look) they do seem to lean towards more typical theme park decal.

Totally agree here
I love the new theme but it's a bit baffling that those classic western / pirate / horror are not in the game day 1. I really hope they will come as DLC fast

The anthropomorphic cactus entertainer seems to be a mascot for the Mexican-themed Viva La Vegan fast food place, but it's still kind of a choice if there's no wild west theming whatsoever.

How about this, keep RCT1 installed for your old work, and those themes, but you will also have 2 to play around with and hopefully they do more regular free and paid updates. I read something about no hotels, does than mean initially no hotel room blocks like the first game? I want hotels and working swimming pools in the same game.

The hotels were added 2 years after release in planet coaster. I hope we get something nicer, maybe a mix of the planet zoo staff rooms and the new gift shops ...rooms with a small ability to customize. I would also wait for this, instead of a half-baked boxes with no windows :D

The whole day mechanic thing would make hotels make a whole lot more sense financially. It actually hurts the viability of pay-for-entry, free rides parks even more than normal in PC1.

I'd be pretty surprised if it doesn't show up in a feature update.

I really like the Hawaiian and Aquatic themes, the Viking theme seems to be ok, but I would like to see more stuff in it. The Mythological theme is too ... comical for my taste.

I hope we will see Adventure and SciFi Stuff, as well as Pirate themes.

I'm perfectly happy for some refreshing new themes in the base game, and for them to release more fleshed out iterations of the old classics in dlc.

Agreed, I really really hope we don't have to wait months for 'essential' themes like pirate, fantasy, sci-fi etc. The amount of themes is going to be a major factor buy/not buy factor for so many casuals - it seems Frontier doesn't get this?

Theme parks live from "themes". It's as important as coasters. I hope we will get a good variety of classic themes very soon, otherwise a lot of park ideas just can't be realized in the game. Sci-fi, fantasy and various countries / cultures around the world are essential for realistic park building.
