I am now flying a garbage truck? Terrible idea...

• Fixes implemented for the ship cockpit glass so that dirt, ice and condensation are more visible.
• Re-balances for cockpit glass dirt and scratches have been made.

This looks like literal trash on my cockpit glass. TERRIBLE. Do not want. Put it back please!

My paint job now looks like utter trash after ~30ish jumps or so. This is terrible. If you are exploring there is 0 point in investing in a paint job anymore.

Hi Bobblehead Brebus again.

It's even pinned if you get lost on your way to posting another thread.

The wear doesn't happen during jumps, it happen during SC, and that's how it has always worked so this isn't something new. I don't recall fixing my paint job once for the last 4 years or so, there's no point in putting on fancy paint jobs as an explorer, never have done and never will.

Stop in at any place that has repair facilities and refresh your paintjob (usually very cheap, never seen over 1000Cr).

Although I think the wear and tear could actually go a bit further, sometimes it works really well. I'm never repairing the Lavecon paintjob on my Krait for example because I think it looks a bit like a Monarch Butterfly :D Which works quite well in some photos.

The cockpit glass though is now horrible.

What amazes me is the those micro paticles even get through the shields to seriously impact the glass or paint. I personally have always thought the "feature" should have an on off option in settings. ON for those who want more immersion , OFF for those who either don`t. Or in respect of the glass don`t want to develop a squint after the screen gets crappy.

Adendum, you never saw the Enterprise or Voyger get a crappy screen or paint blasted off unless it had been in a battle. maybe they just built them better in the old days to last longer...;)
