I have been working, as a contractor, on a classified military project. I was one of the few dinosaurs who understood the beast.

During the Federal budget crisis, we had a halt for 45 days, unpaid. I lived on savings (and lost benefits, and had to pay cash for $2,000 of dental work).

Then, Trump and the Congress took their victory lap at the end of the year, and the project was back on.

We are to re-start on Tuesday. But with a kicker: The work is being consolidated to fewer sites, with cheaper (younger) people, due to budget cuts brought on by the end-of-year deal.

My site is being cut. I will be released, with *nice* references, in about a month. The nice references will not pay for anything. The project will be far behind schedule, defective, and will wind up costing far more.

Thirty years ago, I was a conservative. Now, I'm a Pinko Commie.

I want Herbert Hoover back (He *was* an able administrator, and FDR used him during WW 2). I want *Richard Nixon* back. I want BUSH NUMBER TWO BACK!
