Engineers I am sick to my back teeth of being interdicted by elite anacondas..

25mil rebuy....! WTH are you flying with that kind of rebuy, and mostly why would you even think that you would loose a fight with that kind of ship? I run a Conda Class C and only have a 18mil rebuy, so I'm thinking you are maxed on your ship. You shouldn't be worrying of loosing or running.

Not uncommon for a combat fitted A-rated Anaconda to have a rebuy around that, my rebuy is around 30 million and my Corvette 36 million.

But I agree on the many hours to recoup the losses,
The current fasttrack to make money, stacking massacre missions, as just the stacking can take over one hour, and then you need to kill all the required number of ships. And if you aren't allied, you must do 16-20 missions just to get to that status, so you can get the high paying missions. So even with the fasttrack way of making money, you must spend a few hours, to earn the first 25 million, then you are all set for a couple of hours grinding. And then there is that issue of finding new wars to keep doing this in, which also can take some time to find a war that spawns many massacre missions, certain kinds of factions do spawn very few massacre mission, where others spawn alot (in comparison).
Or you could do the stacking of Skimmer missions, so first you need to find a good place to collect Skimmer missions, and with the addition of Passengers missions, the over sapwn rate of the other missions have been cut in half, since they generate 40 mission, and they are now shared between ordinary missions and passenger mission, so if you intend to stack missions you must do about twice as many logins as before... Not saying it is a bad thing, it is a change to how it was before. And due to design decision, the board hopping to stack missions is not easily fixed, unless they decides to limit how many of these mission you can stack, which most likely will mean that you need to spend even more time to make the same amount of money as before.

If you do not stack massacre missions, and just go out to an CZ, if you are alone you can earn 1-2 million per hour just on combat bonds, depending on what spawns and how skilled and lucky you are to kill them fast. Now we talk many hours grind to pay for one rebuy. Same goes for Pirate hunting in rez sites, tend to be even slower, and you cannot have any cargo with you... Hauling cargo, same here, many hours to pay for that rebuy. Or try to do some Exploration, a few hours will not cover the time to make 25 million credits...

Not everyone is doing the fasttrack grinding to make alot of money, and then the rebuys are very expensive, expecially if you die in a large ship.

And then about the worry about loosing, it is harder to loose you ship in 1vs1 NPC fight, but if you have spent time in CZ and are on your way back, and already beaten up, low shields or perhaps even no shields, then facing an Elite Anaconda can be very dangerous, and if you haven't practiced the art of escaping such situations, or even know what you should do and not do, then you are defintielly in danger. Took me alot of try and error before I understood the basic principles about this, and every patch seems to change some part of this slightly, so you need to adapt.

And you could just be unlucky, I have escaped a few sitations that went from where I was doing great, had 80-100% shields, 4 pips to shields and then a few large enemy ships plus a bunch of small ships all starts to firing at you, then it can turn bad very quickly. So you escape this with NO shields and 50% hull, and now on your way back to the nearest base to repair, you get interdicted by an Elite Ananconda, should you worry now or not?

This does not happen often, but they do, and I have lost a handfull of Anancondas due to situations like this, where a good situation turned really bad really fast. And if you managed to escape, you can almost be certain that a bountyhunter or pirate will intradict you on your way to a space station for repair.

Have you tested reactive/reflective armor? that sure will make your rebuy cost take giant leap in the wrong direction...
