I am so disgusted...

Why do you even think you need to say that? I *said* I didn't think they'd refund it. Why are you taking the same side I took and making it sound like we need to argue? Pay more attention.

Well, why did YOU even mention it?

They could add a "disable Boost engine" setting to "Docking overides" settings.
Then Docking overrides would actually have a use.

Yeah I've decided to do that too. =x Sucks, but what can you do?

You can also rebind your "boost" button in a less prone to accident area, it has been mentioned quite a few times and seems to be working well for other Cmdrs.
You can also be more careful.

I too, have done this once. But boy, am I aware of it now.
I'm sure this would be the last time it happens to you too (especially having to deal with that sort of consequences / Anaconda insurance)

Hi,

Been there, done that!

I assign the boost button to a button on my left-hand throttle - but as a SHIFT function that can only be done from the pinky button on my right-hand joystick. Impossible to use accidentally, but perfectly natural to use in play.

Hope it helps.

Kind regards,

James

Done similar with T7 and full cargo. My mistake so had to bear the responsibility and the costs.

Live and learn, or setup your controls better?

If combat wasn't my primary income generating activity I'd probably get a secondary keybard with a 45 foot USB cable extension and place it in another room and then map the boost function to a 7 key combination on it.

Problem solved.
