I am sorry, I just couldn't do it any longer!

Well, if you're exploring without a specific area / destination(s) in mind, there's no need to fly that far from the bubble. My favourite suggestion is to go to Hell (Port) in the Seagull nebula, and head farther S/SE from there. Should you wish to get back to the bubble ASAP, you can sell your data in Hell (Port), then since it has a shipyard, you can do the Suicidewinder back home.

Also, added disclaimer to your unorthodox control method: don't try this at home if you have a HOTAS!

only 193 jumps left :O its been a long three days. Oh how I miss the data running, source and returns or the pew pew times in CZs and REZ areas

I just checked and after visiting over 30000 systems I can crack a coconut with my cheeks without breaking a sweat. This is probably the only advantage of being an explorer at the moment, but I like it.

Do not give up, start with peanuts and work your way up ;)

I love exploration. I stop and sniff the flowers on the way. In middle of 36.6 K LY journey. I am getting all kinds of first discoveries also. Very odd so many available. It's wonderful this game can give various experiences to the player base. I for one have no interest in combat but exploration and trade for sure.

Some would consider this a cheap way out, but do a search for "Road to Riches". You don't have to leave the bubble to get Elite Exploration.

Another alternative is to do Ram Tah's mission to the Ancient Ruins a few times. Earns good money too.

Disclaimer: I got my Elite exploration the 'proper' way, by flying to Beagle Point and back.

I started a second account to do the multi crew thing, but due to a lousy internet connection, that was a bust. So turned the second "Noob" account into the exploration wing of the first account, both accounts have the same name, or at least they look the same, so all my first discoveries will have the same or similar name. Had to build up the account enough to outfit a DBX for an exploration trip, that took a week, went out with the DBX, minimal upgrades (only had Felicity and Elvira), on a 24k Ly trip. Came back a week later with 360 mil and Elite in Exploration. Purchased a Conda and unlocked a few more engineers, mainly for the 'Exploration' focused mods and got it up to a 60 Ly range and am headed out to Beagle.

In exploration, you have to set some sort of goal to decrease the 'boredom', while I am out scanning and traveling between great distances, I am also cataloguing all my first discoveries into a spreadsheet. I have to screen shot each one of my 'tagged' objects and then put them into the spreadsheet. I am not only looking for 'first' but also looking for my own 'records' to beat. For instance, the largest system I have so far 'discovered' had 94 objects, and I tagged all of them, took me an hour or so to go to each to scan. I have since found a system with 100 objects, but alas, someone had been there first, so will keep looking. I have heard that someone found a system with 7 water worlds in it, well, I will look for a system that has 8. So far only have located a few with 3, and I only count the ones that are 'undiscovered' at the time I jump into them. I have found a system recently that had 2 Ammonia worlds in it. And another system that had a Neutron, and ELW, a terra rocky world and an Ammonia World. The only 2 objects that I have not tagged yet is a Wolf Rayette and a Yellow Giant (have only ever seen one of each so far) but have tagged pretty much every other type of object that I know of at this time. Of course, if I locate some new type of object, I will have to make the changes to the spreadsheet, and every time I make a change, I have to change each page of the spreadsheet, each page is dedicated to every object in a specific Sector that I have tags in, so far I have tags in 121 different sectors, and am still inputting new stuff from my last trip out.....

There's something seriously wrong with me!
I've been Elite Explorer in both accounts and reset them and did it again!
Twice over in one case.
Coconuts you say!?
